Commonly mistaken issue about CCTV system: Motion detect function depend on the machine and NOT on the camera..

I am sure many of you guys have heard about CCTV systems which records video only when there is a movement in the video. Not only it saves memory space but also shorten your viewing time.

But many may not know ...that the motion detect actually depend on the DVR (Recorder) and NOT the camera. The camera basically only serve the purpose of only transmitting the video data to the DVR 24/7. The DVR will then filter to see if recording is needed by detecting the moving pixels in a certain video scene. This way by adjusting the sensitivity of the motion detect, you can actually reducing the threshold of moving pixels so that the DVR will consider whether the video is moving or not...

Hope that I have solved some of doubt here.... hehe.
